In collaboration with Phoenix College and a few other universities, the National Science Foundation (NSF) funds the Transfer to Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences (TRAIN) program.   • Applied computing

  • Applicants need an overall grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

3. President’s honors scholarship

The President’s Honors Scholarship is renewable for up to four semesters and covers up to 15 credits of in-state/in-county tuition (plus the $15 registration fee) per semester. The grant does not cover summer courses.

To qualify for the scholarship;

  • Obtain a final unweighted cumulative high school grade point average of 3.25 or above while completing secondary education in Maricopa County.
  • The student has one year (two academic terms, excluding summer sessions) after graduating from high school, to apply for the prize and obtain it.
  • The student must enrol in one of the Maricopa Community Colleges before enrolling in another approved institution or university (except for summer sessions).
  • Each semester, the student must take at least 12 graded credit hours, three of which must be in an honors course.
  • Before the commencement of the semester, the applicant must deliver the Presidents’ Honors Scholarship application in person or via email.
