8 Easy Steps for a Flawless Makeup Look

Quick Makeup Look: Easy Steps to Look your Best Fast

Don’t you wish you woke-up with a flawless face full of makeup like one of those Disney princesses? Unfortunately, you can’t achieve a flawless look every time you walk out the door (let alone after waking up in the morning). To find a feasible solution to this, we came up with some easy makeup tips and steps that you can follow to save time while still looking gorgeous.

The basics of any quick makeup look are that it should cover blemishes on your face, highlight your eyes, and give a flush of color to your cheeks. Given below are some steps for an easy makeup look that will give you a fresh appearance in less than 10 minutes. You can use the products of your choice in this routine.

Step 1: Prime your face

First of all make sure that you have cleansed your face. Makeup will not look good on a face covered with dirt. Once you have cleansed your face, apply moisturizer. Moisturizing your face is a must whether your skin is a dry, combination, or oily. This is because your makeup glides on easily when you have moisturizer on.

Be sure to choose one which is suitable for your skin type. Wait for a few minutes to let the moisturizer sink into your skin before applying anything else. You can also apply a primer for filling up pores and making your makeup long-lasting. Like the moisturizer, the primer also has to be left on the skin for a couple of minutes before applying any other makeup products.

Step 2: Conceal your blemishes and dark circles

Concealing any blemishes, dark circles or other imperfections is the key to a flawless makeup look. You should go in for a concealer that matches your skin tone for the best results. For the under eyes and for the T-line, it is best to use a shade or two lighter than your original skin-tone.

Concealers come in different forms like concealer pots, sticks, tubes, or wands. Some women may also prefer foundations for concealers. Choose the one you are comfortable with using and gives the desired look. Good full coverage concealers include Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer, Makeup Revolution Conceal, and Define Concealer and the cult-favorite, Tarte Shape Tape.

Apply your favorite concealer on your blemishes and dark circles and blend it. To save time, use a beauty blender or your finger to blend the concealer. That way you won’t have to switch brushes.

Step 3: Apply base

You can either apply the base before applying the concealer or after it. It is really up to you. You can also apply a BB cream instead of foundation as base makeup. For the best results go for one that matches your skin tone and is suitable for your skin type. For example, if you have dry skin, you wouldn’t want to apply a matte foundation which would make your skin look cakey. Apply the foundation evenly on your face and neck and blend it using a blending brush or beauty blender.

For oily skin, Maybelline Fit me Matte and Poreless or L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte foundation are good choices. For dry skin, you can opt for L’Oreal Paris Infallible Long Wear Foundation or Maybelline Fit Me Dewy plus Smooth foundation.

To properly allow your foundation to settle, apply powder on your face, and keep your skin from becoming oily during the day.  Use a large brush or puff for doing so.

Step 4: Define your Eyebrows

Your eyebrows are game-changers for the finished look whether it is the everyday makeup look or party makeup look. Defined eyebrows can help put together your entire look. Using a brow pencil instead of a brow pomade can save time because you won’t have to search for the right brush.

Just follow your natural brow shape and fill in the gaps between. Evenly spread the brow product with the help of a Spoolie brush. You can do this while you are waiting for your moisturizer to set to save time. You can try Kat VonD Signature Brow Precision Pencil for precise brows. If you are on a budget, E.L.F Essential Instant Lift Eyebrow pencil is a good option.

Step 5: Apply Mascara

No makeup look can be complete without mascara. To make them thick and long, coat your lashes with your favorite mascara. If you select a curved brush mascara applicator you will not be spending the extra minutes curling your lashes. For fuller lashes, apply mascara from top out as well as bottom out. Maybelline lashes sensational mascara or L’Oreal Paris Lash paradise mascara are both good for the drugstore range.

Step 6: Put on Some Eyeshadow

If you have a couple of spare minutes, put on a neutral-colored eye shadow. This will give your otherwise flat-looking eyelids some color. Use just one or two eye shadows and blend them when in a hurry. Use nude colors rather than bright ones for a day time look.

Step 7: Apply Blush

Using a Blush is important to give your cheeks a bit of color after foundation evens out the skin tone of your face. You wouldn’t want to look like a pale ghost walking down the street!

For that glow effect, use cream blush instead of powder blush but apply it before you powder your whole face. Nars Orgasm Blush is a good cream blush. But if you are looking for an affordable option, Wet n Wild Megaglo Makeup Stick blush or Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick are both good.

You can also use a lip and cheek tint for blush and lip color if it’s that everyday look you are aiming for. Just dab some on and blend with a beauty blender or blush brush. Suck the air in your cheeks to define the cheekbones for better application.

Step 8: Finish off with Lipstick

Lipstick is a must for every makeup look. Before applying lipstick, use lip balm if your lips are chapped. Lipstick on chapped lips is a bad idea.

Choose a nude or pink lip color instead of bright or dark tones for your everyday makeup look. That way you won’t require more precision for a neat look. While this won’t save a lot of your time, it will help avoid a more apparent mistake while applying.

And that’s it! Your easy and quick makeup look is complete!
