When texting or chatting with someone, you are most likely to use an emoji eventually. Emojis are used as a visual representation of emotions, objects, or situations. Also, emojis can be used to express various contents.  Meanwhile, there are different emojis, each of which has a peculiar meaning. As a dating coach, I recently received an email from a client asking, ” What does it mean when a girl sends heart emoji?” Well, let’s find out.

When texting a girl and she randomly sends you a heart emoji, it could indicate that she is trying to show affection towards you or what you are discussing. The heart emoji expresses love, happiness, care, and gratitude and can even be used in a flirtatious context.

Meanwhile, the actual meaning of the heart emoji will depend on what you are talking about. For instance, when talking about your work, school, favorite movies, or books, sending the heart emoji could mean “I love that.”

So, this means that when a girl sends you a heart emoji, they want to express affection or love (this could be towards you or the context of the text). Most people use the emoji to depict “I love that.”

How to Respond to a Red Heart Emoji Meaning from a Girl

Ensure you take account of the person you are texting and the context of the conversation when trying to figure out how to respond to a heart emoji, regardless of the color of the emoji.

Before replying, take note of the text the emoji was sent along with and the conversation’s tone. Also, if you’re randomly sent a heart emoji without any text, take note of the person you’re texting and the conversation you’ve had.

For instance, if a workmate sent you a heart emoji after you’ve sent some office files, they are thankful and not flirting. However, when texting your partner or someone you meant on a dating app and you receive a cute heart emoji, that could be considered a flirt.

Meanwhile, when responding to any heart emoji, you must respond without panicking and allow the conversation to follow normally. However, I advise you always ask what someone meant when you receive a heart emoji and are unsure of its context.

You should also remember that a lot of people use the heart emoji. So, in most cases, you can respond to a heart emoji by sending a heart emoji back or even act as though the emoji does not exist.

Different Colors of Heart Emojis and Their Meanings

Heart emojis come in different shades, and they all have specific meanings. Here are some of them;

The red emoji can be used in messages with friends, your partner, and even family members.

However, I advise that you don’t use the red heart emoji when messaging your employer, work colleagues, or even someone in a relationship or married. This is because it could portray the wrong information. Use red heart emoji to express love and care to your loved ones.

Or, you can send a sick co-worker a heart emoji to show your sympathy and support. Conversely, a heart emoji from a partner could probably mean they are trying to flirt.

Conclusion
